POSSIBILITY TO INVESTMENT IN ETF
The EPFO’s Central Board of Trustees (CBT) will meet on February 21. In this, the income estimates of EPFO will be kept. It also includes a proposal for the interest rate on PF deposits.
In the meeting of the EPFO Central Board of Trustees, review of the investment in the Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) by the EPFO may also be considered.
Considering the Lok Sabha elections, the interest rate for this financial year will be maintained at 8.55%, similar to that of 2017-18.
CBT is the decision-making body of EPFO. It finalizes the interest rate on PF deposits for the financial year. With the approval of the CBT and the finance ministry’s consent, the EPFO puts interest on PF deposits into account of the shareholders.
